WOW - what a wonderful reunion we had. It was so well put together which shows how very hard Karen and the committee worked. Thanks to all of you for a job very well done.~~~~~~~~~~~ It was wonderful to see so many friends, some of which we hadn't seen until the 50th. Everyone looked great, what a good looking well preserved class we have. Jim Eichel did a wonderful job as Master of Ceremonies and many thanks to Bob & Doris Becker for this wonderful website. The blankets, booklets and pictures are outstanding. Karen worked very hard on the booklet and it is beautiful. | Hi All I am looking forward to the Class Reunion this year. Hope to see lots of classmates and friends from 50!!!! plus years ago. Life has been good! Some rough spots but we survived those and thank our Lord for the blessings that were given us. Enjoy my grandkids, all six of them. Five granddaughters (11, 8, 3, 2, 1) and one grandson. He was born on July 4, 1999 just after our 40th Reunion breakfast. See you all soon! | |||

NOTE: This message is copied from Jan Renner (Jim's wife) email: -- As you may or may not have been hearing, Jim Renner has been nearing the end of his long and full life. He will likely be passing away within the next days and we have constructed an online memorial where his dear friends, family, and former students can write in with their final goodbyes.
While he has had kidney cancer for over twelve years and won little battles, he may be losing the war here shortly. In February he was vacationing in Florida and walking 10km Volksmarches. Upon return from that trip he experienced extreme fatigue and underwent surgery to have bleeding tumors in his stomach removed. He recently underwent a 15 day radiation treatment. The last six or seven days of this treatment really took all of his strength and much of his coordination away.
A month ago he was still walking with a cane but starting to slowly lose his appetite. His condition is growing worse on a daily basis. He is sleeping more and more, eating less and less. Speaking is laborious. It is very sad to see such a strong person become this weak.
We will miss him so much.

Richard and I plan on attending the reunion, and are looking forward to seeing everyone. Hope my new knee enables me to walk and maybe dance. We live in Scandia, Minnesota and love the country living. We have a herd of deer, a flock of wild turkeys and other assorted "critters" that come our back yard about 20 feet from our patio door everyday. See you soon. Janet |

| I am really looking forward to seeing all of you next September. What a milestone for us - "50" years after graduation. Wow, it seems like we should all be only in our 30's or 40's. Time flies after you graduate and especially after you have children and grand children. I sure hope that some of you who have not been coming to the reunions will come for the 50th. We still have such fun together. It's like being back in school. PLEASE COME!!! | |||
